Hyde Park Head Of School
Dr. Coy brings over two decades of professional experience to Hyde Park as he begins his 5th year as Head of School. From starting out as a Hyde Park baseball coach in 2006, to Social Studies Teacher, to Assistant Principal, to Principal in 2015, to Head of School in 2022, Dr. Coy has had the privilege to serve the school at all levels.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Lamar University. He earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Dr. Coy holds certifications as a Teacher, Principal, and Superintendent from the Texas Education Agency. In addition to serving HP, Dr. Coy serves multiple Accreditation agencies: as a member of the COGNIA Texas Advisory Committee, and Vice President of ACTABS.
Dr. Coy and his wife, Heather, are members of Hyde Park Church, and their three boys Joshua (8th), Dylan (6th), and Tyler (4th) have all attended Hyde Park since Kindergarten.
