Hyde Park Schools is launching its first major capital campaign since 2007 to expand our campuses in ways that foster community, deepen learning, and provide students with the space to slow down.
This project will create 200 additional seats at Hyde Park Schools, ensuring more families in the Austin community have access to a Christian education aimed at developing the whole child in intellect and character

Why We're Building

The mission of Hyde Park Schools is to provide a Christian foundation rooted in biblical truth, integrated with rigorous college-preparatory academics, and enriched by programs that develop the whole child—intellectually, spiritually, and socially.

Building on this mission, Hyde Park is preparing for the future with the transition to a 4K–6th grade Lower School and a 7th–12th grade Upper School. With prayerful discernment and the full support of the Board of Directors, our first major capital campaign since 2007 will address the campus limitations that currently shape daily life.

By expanding and improving our facilities, we are creating room for enrollment growth, elevating athletics, enriching fine arts, enhancing outdoor spaces, and fostering a greater sense of connection and cohesiveness across campus.

A Vision Worth Building

In partnership with Hyde Park Church, we now have both the opportunity and the momentum to move forward with plans to expand the Quarries campus. This next phase will increase capacity and strengthen the ways our students, families, and community experience Hyde Park. Together, we are building a campus that will serve generations of students and enhance the impact of a Hyde Park education across Austin.

Unified Vision
Building for Generations
From academic buildings to student life and athletics, this plan is designed to meet immediate needs and support our community for decades to come.

Designed by Hand, Transformed by Christ

In the early summer of 2022, Hyde Park Schools began discussions around expanding the Quarries Campus to meet the needs of our growing student body. A comprehensive feasibility study was conducted, confirming both the necessity and viability of the project. The resulting Master Campus Plan outlines a visionary expansion that will serve our community for the next decade and beyond.

Since that time, an architectural development team has been actively planning and preparing for construction. The project will unfold in three strategic phases:

Panther Athletic Center
The Panther Athletic Center is a state-of-the-art facility built to support student wellness, character development, and athletic excellence. Completed as the first step in our campus expansion, this hub is already making a transformative impact on our school community.
Strength & conditioning space
Locker rooms with private showers
Offices for coaches and sports medicine
Wellness fuel station
Meeting rooms for team strategy and recruitment
Quarries Middle School
Through the gifting of the CLC from Hyde Park Church, Hyde Park Schools has the opportunity to reimagine this space as the Quarries Middle School, transforming both the building and the surrounding outdoor areas into an inspiring environment for learning and community. This expansion will provide middle school students to engage deeply with their school and the natural surroundings around them.
15 dynamic academic classrooms
Upgraded gym for sports and gatherings
Lakeside lunch and social spaces
Fine Arts Space
Hands-on STEM labs
Student Life Center
This phase will introduce a state-of-the-art Student Life Center designed to enrich campus life.
Key features include:
A two-court competitive gymnasium and athletic complex
Classrooms for Middle and Upper School students
Expanded outdoor spaces designed for student and community use
A multipurpose space for the community
Academic Extension
This phase of the campaign will add a four-story extension to the current Upper School building, designed to inspire creativity and learning. It will feature state-of-the-art fine arts space, academic classrooms, and an Alumni Center. Situated next to the Upper School, this new expansion will bring our community together in a central space.

Shaping Students,
Not Just Spaces

At Hyde Park, we view our campus as more than land and buildings. It is a place where hearts and minds are formed. As we steward this space with care, our vision reaches beyond renovations and construction. Each new classroom, field, and gathering area is intentionally designed to create meaningful experiences that nurture students’ spiritual, academic, and personal growth.

Our vision is to enhance the natural beauty around us, designing spaces that invite students to slow down, breathe deeply, and experience the presence of the Lord in the world He created.
